protecting FXO ports

By default if you have an FXO port with a dial-peer pointed to it any device anywhere can make a SIP or H.323 request and use your outgoing line to make calls. How does one configure IOS to challenge (on SIP) and/or do the equivalent (on H.323) such requests for authentication? The authentication parameters on POTS dial-peers appear to be used to answer challenges to the router in connection with FXS registration.
