Hi - apologies for what is probably a dumb question. I need to temporarily disable one of the ethernet ports on a Catalyst 2900, can someone please tell me how to do this from the switch command line?
I have Googled but couldn't find anything that made sense.

configure terminal
interface x/y shutdown
where x/y describes the slot/port.
To bring it back
configure terminal
interface x/y no shutdown
"?" give you a list of commands at any step.
