IOS 12.4 and Fast Step - do they work?

Hi

I am new to configuring Cisco routers and deploying them, I thought that I should be able to use Fast Step to distribute the configuration quickly but find that Fast Step will not work with ios 12.4 - is this correct?

Or should I be doing something else?
