I need to configure my PIX 501 for dsl, no problem with the PIX configuration, the issue i have is in the speedtouch modem router which i do not need it to function as router anymore. How shall i configure the speedtouch modem to work with my PIX 501?
Shall it be bridged mode?

PIX can connect to router
PIX is not connected yet, what we have connected now is a 1700 series router, speedtouch modem router, and i need to install the PIX as below:
Modem ----- PIX 501 ---------- 1700 router ------- CE500
Kindly not we have no static IP from ISP.

Why not use the IOS firewall feature set on 1700 and eliminate the PIX
501 altogetherPIX 501 last software release was 6.3(5) and as far as I can see there will not be an more new releases.

I would leave DSL modem/router as is since it is working.
PIX 501 should be able to connect to it as a router.
Besides always better to be just change once piece at a time.
