Is it possible to do connection limiting with cisco 3560, 3750, 4500, or
6500 family of switches?

Telnet connections to the switch are limited by the number of vty lines you have configured. If you are referring to the number of "connections" to other devices that pass through the switch, then this can be done by rate-limiting "SYN" packets. Not something I would recommend though. If you tell us what you are trying to accomplish maybe someone here can come up with a better solution.
