Hi,

My ISP tells me I need change my router config to g.dmt for my cisco 827h adsl router

They could not tell me how. I had a look at cisco's web site and all I could find was that I need IOS Software Release 12.1(5)YB4, I have Version

12.2(4)YA2.

Does anyone know how to turn it on ?

Ta

This MAY be the correct thing.

conf t int ATM 0 ! I presume dsl operating-mode itu-dmt

The ITU are the body responsible for the G standard so I guess that itu-dmt is the right one.

On the other hand, if you are on 'auto' it may well just work.

dsl operating-mode auto

I am on auto and I have:- router#sh dsl int atm 0 ATM0 Alcatel 20190 chipset information ATU-R (DS) ATU-C (US) Modem Status: Showtime (DMTDSL_SHOWTIME) DSL Mode: ITU G.992.1 (G.DMT) Annex A

it is!

seems to work ok - Thanks for the info!
