CF cards as Flash storage?

Hi to everyone, I'm in need of buying a pcmcia flash card for a Cisco 7507 router, and i was wondering if i can use only pcmcia flash card explicitly cisco-compatible or if it is possible to use a pcmcia-to-CF adapter as a storage option. Anyone ever tried? I didn't find much googling around, so i imagine it's not really possible.

Thanks, Hkz

I'm assuming you have an RSP4? Much more meaningful to list the RSP than the model of 7507.

The official supported Cisco memory is a linear Flash card. Very hard to find now, very expensive option.

You can do a PCMCIA to CF adapter for an RSP4. You have to make sure to format the disk in the router you will be using to make sure to get the geometry right. Also it uses 'disk0' instead of 'slot0'.

Not sure Cisco supports it in an fashion, but I have it working.
