boot from tftp

Hi, If I decide for 'boot from tftp' and if ios has e.g. 8 mb and if I have



16 mb ram, does it mean that I do not need flash any more and that router can operate without any flash?

I was the one who suggested this on another thread and now I have doubts about it because of the way the 2500 series routers excute the image direct from flash. If it was to work, you need a statement like this in your start-up config:

boot tftp://192.168.1.99/c2500-is-l.122-32.bin
