ASA 5505 Dual ISP

Sep 30, 2009 2 Replies

Hi,

Want to setup ASA 5505 with dual isp connections. I have found various articles that describe how to set this up but none so far have addressed how to handle static nat objects. We have mail, web servers that use static nat and want to ensure these use new natted ip when the ASA fails over.

Is this possible? Please advise, and advise will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks, Marlon

Yup, works perfectly. You NAT as you normally would using multiple nat statements (one per interface). You also need a way to manipulate public DNS so that inbound works. I prefer dnsmadeeasy.com, very reliable, been using them for a couple years now in dozens of my customers.

static (inside,outside) netmask 255.255.255.255 static (inside,outside2) netmask 255.255.255.255

Thanks Brian - this is exactly the confirmation I was hoping for.
