Can I use a 7507 with PA-2CE1 to connect to PSTN in order to act as a gateway for an asterisk box.

No, PA-2CE1 is no voice interface and so has no dsp nore will the router accept any voice commands related to that interface.

Actually I don´t know by heart. I would also have to look at the product list. I do think so, because if you have VIP-boards you can user interfaces from cisco7200 routers but they are usually very expensive. So the mor cost-effective way is probably to buy a cheaper voice enabled router.
