New to wireless need help

Hi all I have a modem connected to my PC downstairs and i would like to put wireless into my kids rooms for 1 laptop and 1 PC can anyone tell what i need to buy and do Cheers

You need a wireless router and wireless cards/usb for each machine.

Is the modem a broadband one or a dial up modem?
