Try a hard reset on the BEF. This will reset the router to factory default settings so you'll lose WEP keys and anything else you customized.
Power up the router. Find a small recessed button in the back of the router. Use a pen or paper clip to depress the button for 30 seconds. This is actually much harder than it sounds, so make sure you're actually pressing on the button and it is fully depressed.
Afterwards, the router should be good as new though you'll have to re-do all your settings. If not, the problem may be more serious. Explore the forums on this site:
