Send PSTN signal over IP?

Aug 12, 2004 0 Replies

Ok, What i'm looking to do is have my office phone be able to ring at my home office. I've thought about forwarding and other services through the telco but don't think they'll really suit my needs.

So I have a regular POTS line in my retail office that I want to somehow send over my DSL connection to my home. So basically when i pickup a phone at home it would be like picking it up in the office to make or recieve calls(dialtone and all). I'll probably create a VPN connection from home to work so that it's both more secure and also on the same network, which i think would make it easier. I'm really not looking for a software solution, I'd much rather get hardware to do this.

If anyone has any suggestions i'd appreciate them.

Doug
