XM10 Powerhouse question

Nov 25, 2008 3 Replies

Hi guys I would like to use an XM10 device to control my X10 network. However, I would like to use it connected to a personal computer instead of via a electronic means, such as a home alarm system's control panel. Have anyone attempted this? Where could I find more information about how to do this?

Thanks in advance,

You might try comp.home.automation.

Sadly we may be testing this prediction soon.

There are dozens of controlers on the market both passive and activly attachable to your PC. Check out X10's website along with Smarthome systems and any of the other home automation suppliers. They all carry a number of devices from simple, with a few timed X10 commands, to voice control controlers that are all PC compatable. Or just do a google search for X10 controlers.
