Over the top comments have no real meaning. I didn't think you guys would ever give him credit for being a good shot in the first place. Is it possible for the left to ever run out of Kool Aid? Being so close to BAMC I can say that I personally appreciate all that the members of the Military are sacrificing. I'll reserve judgment to see what the History Channel says in 20+ years about the efforts there.

How do you figure Bush killed Americans?

AntiWar.com has combat deaths to date at 2693.

Al Quiada (or however you wanna spell it): At WTC 2992 were killed...and then theres Somalia 1993, Khobar Towers 1996 19 killed, 1998 US embassies in Kenya and Tanzania 224 killed, 12 Americans,...and on and on..

The comment was not over the top. It is a truthful statement. Bush has sent over 3,200 American soldiers to their deaths for no purpose other than to satisfy his ego. Some more cynical folks might say that he did it to raise the price of oil in order to enrich himself and his cronies. I don't think the man is *that* evil. He's just incredibly stupid and arrogant -- an extremely dangerous combination for someone in power.

Oh, please! Do not try to equate agreeing with Bush to supporting our troops or appreciating their sacrifice. If you want to show them your support, vote for people who will bring them home. It is neither patriotic nor supportive to send our young people to die for nothing.

The last time a US president pulled something this stupid was during the Vietnam war. They lied to us about it then, too, claiming we were winning the war as well as the "hearts and minds" of the Vietnamese people. In fact, we were despised by the vast majority of the Vietnamese for destroying their country.

Just like today, the president told us that we had to fight them (it was Communism then but today it's Islamic terrorism) over there or we would face them over here. Yeah, right! We left. Vietnam fell to the commies. Now they're supposedly becomming our ally.

The truth of the matter is that we are not only losing the war in Iraq just as we did in Vietnam. We are making matters infinitely worse because (unlike Vietnam) Bush has now enraged millions more Muslims who might never have endorsed terrorism to the point where far more horrific attacks than 911 are a virtual certainty.

I probably won't be around to see what's coming but I'd like to think we at least tried to leave something better for my children and theirs.

Perhaps they'll tell the story of Bush's, Cheney's and Rove's indictments for crimes against humanity.

He deliberately sent them to fight an illegal war against a country that was neither attacking nor threatening to attack us. Iraq was a miserable place with a horrible dictator but there are lots of places like that. We had no right and no cause to attack them.

Bush, Cheney and company lied through their teeth to convince us that we needed to go after "weapons of mass destruction." When none were found they declared that we were really there to bring peace and democracy to those poor Iraqis -- you know, the ones who now hate us so much they gladly blow themselves up just to kill a few of our troops.

I am fed up with the lies and deceipt of this administration, not to mention the steam-rolling of our Constitution. We can only hope that Americans go to the polls in vast numbers once again in 2008 to throw out the rest of Bush's hard-line pals so we can begin repairing all the damage he has done to our country.

It's just another exaggeration made up by the people who lost the last two elections.

Just like the "Bush lied" and "Bush is making money on the war" and "Bush went to Iraq for the oil" and the "Tax cuts are only for the rich" and "Bush knew about 9/11 and didn't do anything about it" ......all the other bullshit smear they can think up. In the mean time, even with all the rhetoric from the Democrats prior to the recent take over, they still voted to continue the war effort.

So ..... what's changed? Nothing.

Having a Rosie O'Donnell "truther moment I see

Thats an easy answer, if we don't go in people like you cry and whine and complain why we don't and when we do go in people like you cry and whine and complain that we're thugs.

The funny thing is more troops died under Clinton during 8 years of peace than Bush during war. It's useless to argue with RLB on this, he's gone to the dark "nutter" side

Actually, we should bomb the s*it outta the whole region and take the oil or whatever we want. I also have no desire to live in the United States of Islamoworld.

In the big picture we need to be in Iraq...and it had little to do with Saddam...we need to be there to kick the s*it outta Iran when that issue finally erupts. Someone needs to control the oil it might as well be US.

Bush may not be right about everything, but he is more sane that the democrats lately. I used to be a democrat up till a few years ago...now; they make me wanna puke. I call them the Whinocrats now. More interested in politics than saving our butts.

I understand the sentiment but doing so would be counter-productuve for most of the same reasons that Bush's war is counter-productive. All that would accomplish is to further alienate what used to be our allies and enrage Muslims all over the world. Muslims are in every country. Most don't want anything to do with yerrorism but with every report of Cheney's hoodlums torturing another Muslim and with every US bomb or bullet killing nother Arab -- good or bad -- the crazy imams are able to persuade a few thousand more are that it is Allah's will for them to blow up Americans. Unprovoked agression against innocent victims does not bring peace or even submission. It brings rage.

That is wrong. We don't need to be in Iraq for anything at all except to pump Dubya's ego. If we want to take out Iran we can do so without placing one soldier on middle eastern soil. We rule the sky without challenge. Our bombers and navy have the fire power to wipe Iran off the map in a matter of hours.

We have ceded that to the Saudis, who by the way happen to be in bed with the Shrub.

The only thing he's been right about in six years is the need for immigration reform. But that's not much credit to him. Even a stopped clock is right twice a day.

I don't think he's insane even if his religious ideas are a bit nutty. No, the man is just really stupid, extremely arrogant and power / money hungry.

Care for some Ipecac?

Don't look now but you just described our "Fearless Leader." He hasn't done an honest thing since he stole the presidency in 2000. What he has done is put our nation in jeapordy of nuclear terrorism. If you think 9/11 was horrific, wait till the crazies get their hands on an atomic bomb.

Don't think that Bush's "war on terror" (whatever that means) is going to protect us. In fact, it is his aggression that has all but ensured us of such an attack.

I understand the rage that motivates many Americans to want to strike out at Arab nations. The problem is that striking out blindly as Bush has done will only provoke more terrorism. You can't kill them all. The more you do kill the more enraged others become and the less inclined your friends are to help you when you need them.

What he said. (Except for the used to be a democrat stuff, yuck) js

You're such a piece of s*it. You can't even muster up enough courage to support your nation. You'd rather cater to these radical terrorists. Even knowing that catering to them will do no good. There are over 20 confllicts going on in the world today and they are ALL instigated and propagated by the Muslim's. Just like the Palistinians, over Isreal, they're pissing and moaning over the fact that they lost the war to the Christians centuries ago. They want world domination the same as the UN. And you want to give in to them.

If we alienate anyone in the process then that's their problem. If they're too stupid to not be able to make the decision between freedom and repression they'll never survive to begin with. Freedom of the individual is the ultimate goal. The Muslim goal is repression and control by a religion. Back to the Dark Ages.

You keep saying that Bush is the reason that we're in Iraq. That again shows your issues aren't with the situation but with the politics. Bush didn't go there without approval and he's STILL got it. Talk about power hungry. The windgy whiney Democrats got the house and senate back after all their huffing and puffing and then sided with the Bush administration anyway. Tell me THAT doesn't show what the Democrats are all about.

And now you think that if we DIDN'T go to Iraq, we wouldn't be threatend with a nuclear attack? How stupid is that?

Yep, I can see it all now. After 9/11 we hold a meeting and see what we can do to appease the people who just attacked our country. And then we give them whatever they want.

You're a sleazy piece of s*it in real life and your political views reflect the same thing.

I feel sorry for us. We don't have the courage or stamina to even protect ourselves anymore...we'd rather blather on and on on any number of PC bullpoopy. If we had to fight WWII tomorrow, we'd be speaking Japanese or German by Monday.

Swinging what? You know what he was swinging down in that spider-hole

What should have been his fists of course, but too bad for him it was a rope instead.

I doubt anyone will miss him. Nevertheless, it was neither our right nor our duty to take him out.

Actually it was per the UN mandate and it was also Clinton's doctrin as well but don't let those facts get in the way

In the world I live in, if one does something that needs doing, even though it wasn't his or her duty, we call that a good thing. You know, initiative and all that.

I keep waiting for his response to this one...

You will have a long wait, once he gets facts thrown back at him he goes silent hoping it will all go away
