Does anyone know how to remotely view the DVR from a laptop computer. The two devices are hooked up but the software in the computer just wantes to connect to the internet instead of seeing the DVR as a device that it can communicate with. Thanks for any help in advance. Nick

Piece of cake if the DVR has TCP/IP. In the DVR manual you'll find the default IP address. Open your browser and enter the IP address as the URL.
The Default IP address may not work on your network. Find the IP info for the laptop and input the ip,subnet mask,gateway. Remember the ip for the laptop and the ip for the DVR should be the same except for the last number, it should be one number higher or lower than the laptop. In the remote view software, you have to input the ip address for the dvr. You should be able to connect now
