Our DSC rep just likes to fish. That is usually what is on his mind.

We finally gave DSC the boot at the low end and went for GE (Networx) instead. I wonder if that is trading the devil you know for the devil you don't know. Honeywell (Ademco) gear gets installed when its already there. Anyway if you don't use Honeywell you don't have to carry around a 6139 or

6160 all the time when you need to program a panel.

The Ademco 1005 was the same for decades.

Did you ever look in a 1005? There wasn't a whole lot to change.
