Need help returning 6270 ADT

Oct 09, 2005 1 Replies

I purchased a 6270ADT keypad that went bad on me. I tried contacting the person I bought it from, but no success. It has been less than 1 year since I purchased the item. The firmware date is Jan. 12, 2005 (so it is obviously less than a year old).

Can someone assist me in getting an RMA with Honeywell?

Thanks, aj

You are probably going to be out of luck. Unless the keypad was installed and sold through ADT or an authorized dealer, you will find out that the keypad was probably acquired through illegal means.

If that's not the case, contact ADT directly everyday until they replace it for you. Honeywell will not provide you with an RMA number.

If I were you, I would not bother with the 6270 keypad. It is proving to be a keypad that is poorly designed, due to its high failure rate.
