As many as you want, since it uses the house code instead of learningin as a sensor you could have hundreds if not thousands

You'd have to access that through installer level programming.

Just pick any code, as long as all your units use the same code (master panel and all 5828's) and the code does not conflict with any neighbors that may have the same type of alarm system.
