Most professional users go for the 211. Guys like these (below) deploy systems with hundreds of the Axis cameras and encoders on them. I have not heard any complaints from them. I think in the early days Axis made some low end stuff that gave them a black eye. For the most part I think that is behind them.

Obviously the brand new Axis 210A I have is not going to work for what I'm trying to do (monitor the outside of my property) I have the indoor metal housing for it as well. I'll sell it on ebay unless someone here wants it. I'm going to seek a video server or dvr with IP capabilities. I take it that the AXIS network servers are pretty decent from what you said about them. Dave
I like the encoders from Bosch better (perhaps only because I had to learn how to use them).
