Nortel Tech I, II, III Needed

Hello, We are currently looking for Nortel Technicians in the Following states: Arizona, New Mexico, California, and Tennnessee

These jobs will be for Hospitals and Correctional facilities.

The requirements listed below are for a Senior Nortel Tech III.

A Tech I and Tech II should have some of these requirements especially with add/moves/changes on switches- Call Point, Symposium, ABST. If you have experience with AVT(older system) that is a plus. Meridian Mail, Option 11c-81c

Must have experience in VoIP technology as well as experience dealing with Nortel Option 11-81C, Succession and Meridian . KEY/BCM, OPT 11-

81c and Meridian Mail systems

Be able to install, repair DTI/PRI and work head on with circuit providers

Be able to install, re-install and repair software on Call Pilot, KEY/ BCM, OPT 11-81c and Meridian Mail systems

Perform basic feature and keycode upgrades on all KEY/BCM, OPT 11-81c systems

Be able to install, configure and troubleshoot Nortel MIRAN, MIPCD and MICB

Be able to identify and repair hardware and software problems on KEY/ BCM, OPT 11-81c and Meridian Mail systems

Be able to perform adds, changes and basic maintenance on Nortel Call Pilot, HMS, MAT/OTM, SECC and SCCS.

Be able to identify when a system has or nearly has reached its user limits and report

Have an enhanced knowledge of ACD and functionality, with an understanding of MAX CCR

Be able to investigate and identify problems using Nortel documentation, Nortel.com and Nortel solution search

Expertise dealing with Symposium and OTM is highly desirable.

Minimum of four years experience involving implementation, operation and maintenance of above described technologies.

Demonstrated experience supporting a large, diverse user base.

Responsible for telecommunications network technology by installing hardware and software; configuring systems; performing maintenance; troubleshooting systems. Duties:

  • Establishes telecommunications network performance by installing voice and data networks, communications software, equipment, and network facilities.
  • Maintains telecommunications network performance by repairing equipment and network software.
  • Optimizes telecommunications network performance by researching software and equipment.
  • Maintains records by documenting procedures used.
  • Helps prepare reports by collecting information.
  • Maintains quality service by following organization standards.
  • Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing publications.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Maintains internet connectivity by monitoring IP equipment/software, testing access to multiple circuit connections.

Additional skills required for Level 3

- Be able to install, configure, upgrade and PEP/Patch at least 2 of the following applications: SECC, SCCS, CC6, CALL PILOT, OTM, HMS400, MCS, MPS

- Be able to install, configure, upgrade and PEP/Patch at least 4 of the following systems: KEY/BCM, OPT 11-81c, CS1000, CS1000E

- Be able to install, configure and test IP based telephony and trunking on customer networks

- Be able to investigate, report and resolve major business-critical situations for customers that have been escalated

- Have a good understanding and working knowledge of CTI and how it integrates and performs between Nortel and third party customer products

- Must have good communication skills, both oral and written.

- Must have a strong aptitude to learn new technologies.

- Need to be able to work independently and as a team player.

- Responsible for completing paperwork associated with various jobs and service tickets.

- Must have a reliable vehicle with mileage reimbursement or a company vehicle will be provided

- Must be able to work well with customers and be able to communicate with them in a tactful manner.
