Does anyone think, I shouldn't buy the protection plan on my new Plasma TV???

Hi, IMO, most Plasma has 1 year and some has 2 year warranty. On most electronics gear things will break will break early. Once burn in period is over, it'll last. This has been my experience as consumer and electronics engineer who worked in the field for 30+ years. I don't bother with any extended warranty or such. So far I have been lucky(?). Nothing major broke outside normal warranty period. Tony
