I'd like to be able to control my ceiling fans via x10, ie. turning them on in the AM and off in the PM. I've tried (unsuccessfully) to use a x10 wall switch but the fans hum and two switches stopped working altogether. Is there any work around for this or do I just have to remember to turn them on and off manually?
cieling fans and X10?

Damn! At $99.00, I'd rather let my fingers do the walking.

Really only one option if you want to be able to adjust the speed.
Otherwise a simple relay will work.

You can do it with a basic relay for around $30.00 SwitchLinc 1-Way 15 Amp Relay Switch
I just showed this becuase it's very popular when wanting to control the speed.
Thanks Brian, I ordered a SwitchLinc 1-Way 15 Amp Relay Switch from Automated Outlet for $29.99 plus shipping. They were the cheapest I could find. Thanks for the help.
