I never read this newsgroup and I don't know if you can help me.
Only thing I know:
I have a new laptop with Norton Internet Security enabled.
I downloaded Gmail notifier, which I always used successfully in the past, and it doesn't work.
I guess it is because of the firewall?
This is what Google says about firewall problems:
