Kerio Personal Firewall Driver: AppendFragmentToLongPath

I hope someone has seen this before. I get this error popup from Kerio's taskbar icon. For me, it happens when I am trying to run an ASP.NET application I am trying to develop using Visual Studio .NET and IIS. When it first requests a page (.aspx). It seems to be a general error instead of just relating to the tool I am using. Any help on this would be appreciated since it pops up every time driving me crazy.

Windows - Fatal Application Exit Kerio Personal Firewall Driver: AppendFragmentToLongPath: OpenDirectoryObject error: C00000BE, Directory: \\??\\UNC\\?\\C:\\

ps. it doesn't seem to hurt anything... all applications still run normally.

Well go behind the protection of a cheap NAT router and disable Kerio when doing your .NET devlopment work and you won't have a problem when doing the .Net compile. And besides, if you have IIS running on that machine, then the machine needs to be behind the protection of a NAT router and not some PFW solution on a mahcine with a direct connection to the Internet -- that's no appliance between the modem and the computer.

I also have the same problem every time I compile an asp.NET application it pops up the a small icon in sys tray saying exactly the same message.

I have XP SP2 without automatic updates (I had engouh!...) without Firewall. I use BitDefender and of course a Kerio firewall.

I also would appreciate same help on this one.

Best regards,

YES! The message disappears.

No it was not the NAT solution but it helped me find the real problem.

In Kerio Firewall I had a rule saying that some program, (don't remember which), could not contact the svchost process.

I delete the rule and voilá! It worked!... no more problems and IE now makes the load of the pages much more faster...

No it didn't work :-( It still there... everytime i compile the source of .net the message cames saying that the AppendFragmentToLongPath. In the list of processes that i have running in my computer i saw aspnet_wp.exe with a strange path ... \\\\?\\C:\\WINDOWS2\\Microsoft.NET\\Framework\\v1.1.4322\\aspnet_wp.exe Maybe is the \\\\?\\ that is making the error.

In the system log the message cames like this: The description for Event ID ( 4000 ) in Source ( fwdrv ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. You may be able to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this description; see Help and Support for details. The following information is part of the event: \\Device\\FWDRV; AppendFragmentToLongPath: OpenDirectoryObject erro. Can anybody help ?
