Javascript unblocking

Sure. Ask again in a relevant newsgroup, like one of the many microsoft.* ones.

Hi

I have received a message from a friend who has 'javascript problems'. Yes it really is from a friend...not myself, but I would be interested in the solution.

I quote "We have lost the ability to use java script I think it is either a recent Windows Update that did it in, or something I did yesterday.

A pop-up said that something from my computer was trying to contact ... someone. I don't remember it, but I do think it was a Microsoft issue and was surprised that the recommended course of action was to block. It kept coming back on after I pressed block, so I finally pressed "block always". A message came up that this might interfere with some of the workings of my computer, but it was reversible. Did I pay attention to any clues about how to reverse this?"

I have no idea - especially without looking at her comp (miles away).

Can you help? Very simple language please :-)

Sarah

Thankyou. I thought it was a firewall problem. Obviously not...so that's eliminated one avenue.

Sarah
