File sharing with Zone Alarm

I have been using the free version of Zone Alarm ver 3.1.395 since it first came out and have never had a problem. I have DSL using a D-Link router and two computers both with Win2k pro. File sharing works only with zone alarm disabled. Can someone point me how to set this up. Best regards, David...
