Basic Netscreen 5GT Configuration

Feb 11, 2009 1 Replies

Hello,

I have a Netscreen 5GT left over from my old business that I want to use at home as a basic firewall and DHCP Server. I ran through the basic setup wizards and have it configured as a DHCP Server with policies to allow basic traffic from the Trust zone to the Untrust Zone. The Trust interface mode is set to NAT and Untrust is set to Route.

Does this seem OK? Is there anything else I should consider?

Thank you, Tom

It will work, but I would do the NAT it via dip for a specific network, in your case every packet which goes to internet and which comes from the trust network will be nat'ed.

cheers
