AR320 NAT question

Feb 01, 2006 3 Replies

Hi,

I have an Allied Telesyn AR320 firewall.

It is between my network and my ADSL router. I use the dyndns service and I can get to my router.

Does anybody know how to set this up so that any ssh calls from the internet get redirected to a specific machine on my network?

Without the firewall it is easy, just set up NAT on the adsl router and your done.

The firewall has SSH ports open.

Thanks in advance.

What does the manual say?

Yours, VB.

The manual talks about NAT on the firewall too, but what I'm trying to do requires two NATs I guess.

The reason for this is now that the firewall is in place, the router is on a different class c address from the pc in question, so the router's NAT won't reach the PC.

If anyone knows how to do this please let me know.

So you need DynDNS (or something similar) and a static NAT configuration for the server. NAT hole punching would be overkill here.
