VIC-2BRI-NT vs WIC-1B-U-V2

Can someone please tell me the difference between these two.. I need 8 bri slots in a 2600 but I am not sure the VIC-2BRI is the same card with two ports?

The VIC-2BRI-NT is for Voice termination. If you want to dialup data calls across it, it won't work. In the 2600 series, it should only function when inserted into an NM-1V or NM-2V. Its not the same card.

What are you doing with 8 BRI's? There's probably another way. Around here, a PRI is cheaper than 8 BRIs (just slightly from the ILEC and doing lots of deals, way cheaper if from a CLEC). The break-even point usually is around 12 channels (ie. 8 BRIs == 16 Channels) to move up to a T1 or PRI.

Even if its not, doing something like a PRI into a Cisco out to an Adtran Atlas box pushing BRIs might be the way to go as well.
