timestamp wrong

The time on my switch is correct

6#sh clock
12:20:23.125 UTC Tue Oct 24 2006

but when i do a sh logging

008973: Oct 24 19:10:07: %SYS-5-CONFIG_I: Configured from console by suseadmin on vty0

It shows the wrong time

any ideas?

The timestamp comes from your syslog server. Say something like

6(config)#service timestamps ? debug Timestamp debug messages log Timestamp log messages

6(config)#service timestamps log ? datetime Timestamp with date and time uptime Timestamp with system uptime
