The log timestamps on my Aironet 1241 IOS 12.4 are showing March 3, 2002.
How can I manually (no NTP) set the correct time on these things?

Use the command
clock set hh:mm:ss day month year

And do it again each time you reboot.
This is why anyone who cares about the time uses [s]ntp.
