The Check Heaps process is run once a minute to verify the consistency of the memory heaps. Basically to verify all the memory structures are valid and intact and that there is no memory corruption. Depending on how much memory you have, check heaps may have to work more to verify the consistency of your memory. What do you mean by the most time consuming process and can you post a "show ver" and "show proc cpu" ?
