I have a 7140 router and this is what happen when i do a show ver

253952K/73728K bytes of memory.

Does anyone know what each section mean? thanks in advance.

Greetings,

The second part is used exclusively for bufferig of I/O transfers, the first part is the Memory available for program and data storage. Add them together to get total RAM in the machine, IE ~320MB.

Cheers................pk.

and you can decide the space of the two memory.
