Following a thread open to ask if eth0 need to have a cable attached to it to be up I can say:
12.3(11)T2 - ETH0 is up even if there are no cables attached to the hub.
12.3(14)T - ETH0 is not up (and it is not in shutdown mode)
Any hint?
