Hi all



I'm having trouble with an 878 SHDSL modem My startup config for the controller is



controller DSL 0 mode atm line-term cpe line-mode auto dsl-mode shdsl symmetric annex B line-rate 2048


Yet when I start the modem up the line rate changes to 1152



Show running



controller DSL 0 mode atm line-term cpe line-mode auto dsl-mode shdsl symmetric annex B line-rate 1152


I have to manually go in via the console cable and change the line-rate to 2048 before the modem will give me a connection


Any ideas please as to why it doesn't keep the settings in the startup config

Hate to ask the obvious, but you are doing a write mem or copy run start right?

Or have you tried line-rate auto? I'm having trouble finding any clear documentation that says you can or can't change that parameter, so I'm wondering if its a code issue or if auto might work.
