Cisco 678 CAP to DMT conversion problem - help!?

I tried to flash a Cisco 678 from CAP cbos 2.4.6 to DMT cbos 2.4.6

Yes, I know it is ancient, but in a couple of months my ISP is going to offer wireless, so I don't want to buy a new DSL modem for only a couple months of use.

My session is copied below. the reboot gives errors as listed at the bottom. I used hyperterminal to communicate from the serial port toe the exc port to transfer the nsrouter.c678dmt.full.2.4.6.bin file. That seemed to go fine, but I got errors on reboot.

I finally got my DSL operating over the weekend. The key item was indeed flashing the firmware in my Cisco 678 from CAP to DMT. I used hyperterminal. The session seemed to go per plan, but the first time I had some intersting error lines on bootup:

SO I tried the download procredure again and now the modem boots fine
