Cisco 3845 NAM Module question, IOS 12.4

Hi, I'm new to Cisco. Anyone know if the external interface on the NAM module can be used to access router configuration mode, that is, can I use the CLI command set. Thanks.

NAM are tyoicallused for network management, in additin they can be utlized with Network Management platforms nGenius, Cisco works etc.
