Does anyone have any experience with BIGIP redundancy ? If so, how can i remove a active F5 box and get it back to a base config?

What version?
If version 4 and if you have the voltage cable between the two boxes, just shut down the secondary and remove it from the network. Take it to your lab and 'mv /config/bigip.conf /config/bigip.conf.backup'
Might also be useful to go through /etc/hosts and clean it up a bit...
