Hello,

I'd like to know what is the current status of 802.11i (aka WPA2) support in Cisco 870 series routers (esp. 877W). All I can find on cisco.com is: · 802.11i (software-upgradeable in future software release) · Wi-Fi Protected Access (WPA) in the list of features for these routers

and how to configure WPA/TKIP encryption. I understand this means that 802.11i will be supported provided the IOS is upgraded to some later version. Is this upgrade already available, or will it be released in the near future?

Thanks for any information on this subject!

WPA2 isn't available yet for the wireless ISRs (85xW, 87xW, 18xxW, HWIC-AP), but should be available via a software upgrade in a future release.

Cheers,

Aaron

Thank you for the confirmation. So, there is no public information (or educated guesses) on when this upgrade will be available?
