Is there a way when connecting a new switch to an existing VTP domain, to find the VTP domain name solely from the new switch. That is without logging onto an existing switch or other established host within that domain.

sh cdp neighbor to find out the names of adjacent switches sh cdp entry xxxxxx to get details for another switch. This will include the vtp domain name.
