telus adsl

If I get and install a Telus ADSL modem ( complete with account of course ) will I be able to take my computer to the cottage ( it's in the same area code and exchange ) and simply plug it in so that I don't get hit by or limited by "roaming" charges ?

Also, if I do get this set up, does the phone plug into the modem ( the way a dial-up system does ) or will I have to install a splitter at the wall junction ?

thanks

Allen

Short answer: No.

ADSL circuits are only provisioned on lines with active accounts.

In other words, unless you pay for a second account at the cottage, you're out of luck.
