WRT300n used as a wireless card???? open original image

I have an old box without a wireless card, but have multiple used wrt300's. Is there any way to use them (ie wired to my pc's NIC) to pick up on other wireless networks, and to connect to them without being plugged directly into a LAN port? Kinda like a wireless card....

so i reply to myself to disgard loniless; no you cannot use a wireless/ router hub as in a similar fashion as a wireless card simply because it does not have the tech to send receive data to same a NIC.

Dig around on whether the WRT300N you have is supported by dd-wrt. Different hardware versions may use different chipsets.

I have a WRT54Gv8 running client-bridged mode as we speak.
