Hi there! I have a normal LAN network, with a non-wireless Router. But then i have my laptop with a wireless net-card, so i want to make my router send out a wireless signal. So i bought a Cnet, CWA-854 access point.. Will that do the job?? and if it will, how am I suposed to set it up then?? I have tried many different metodes, with no sucess.

Thanks Sune

Your AP simply plugs into one of the LAN ports on your router. That is basically all you need to do. (It would work just by doing this.)

However, I'm sure you don't want your neighbors on your LAN, so..

In your router, setup a static IP address for the AP. (So you always know where to config the AP at.)

In your AP, config and set:

- Admin password

- Unique SSID name

- WPA
