Problems with wireles access re-setting

Jan 25, 2007 3 Replies

Hi

I'm using Xp and IE6.

Suddenly I have to re-enter the password every time I want to connect.

Instead of connecting as normal, I have to open the wireless connection... then open View Available Networks, then put in password again.

Another PC in the house has no probs with the wireless hub.

This happened suddenly.

I don't connect using the Belkin software that came with the modem on my PC, teh HUB is a D-Link wireless, I'm just the Windows Network Connections which worked fine before.

Any ideas on how to fix this?

Many thanks

Check to see if the connection has been accidentally changed to On Demand (instead of Automatic) -- click View Wireless Networks, Change the Order of Preferred Networks, and if needed, Properties and then Connection.

If that doesn't help, try deleting and then creating a new connection to the Wireless Network.

Also, make sure you have the latest drivers for your wireless adapter.

Thanks for the info.. where can I check 'On Demand (instead of Automatic)'

Thanks
