problem with Laptop B card

Hi folks... Having a bit of trouble with a Wireless B card on my network. It can access the Web through the router fine but can't share files. The router is a Netgear G with the receive settings set to auto and the card has been added to the access list. I have a PC in the house with G protocol that is doing great, in that access to the Web and the internal network. Is there something about mixing G and B protocols that requires some kind of tweak?

I run some laptops with B and G adapters and they can share files.

Can your other computers see the laptop? Do you have a firewall that allows sharing and is your hard drive set for sharing? Do you have the laptop set with the same network group name?
