Netgear router keeps dropping connection

In an earlier post, you stated that you were picking up a neighbor's AP in addition to your own. That in itself could be the source of your dropped signals. Being that your neighbor's AP is unsecured, your client will more than likely want to connect to it. Check your wireless configuration utility and make sure that your AP is "Preferred". Some utilities let you exclude other APs except your own while others allow you to connect to a "mandatory" AP. Anyway, you might consider changing channels if your AP and your neighbor's AP are on the same channel. Anyway, take care.
