Disconnection Issues

Jul 02, 2007 1 Replies

Ok, so I have a wireless access point, Linksys 802.11b 11Mbps one, and it appears as though i cannot stay connected to it.

I get disconnected all the time from it (sometimes more often than others). What I do notice is that i really can't connect at all it seems like when it lists other wireless networks. And they have a stronger signal. How can my neighbors signal be full strength, while mine is only 1 bar? And I have tried sitting no further than 15 or so feet from my wireless access point, and same thing happens....

Change the channel on the access point and your card and see what that does for you. Find a channel that is less frequented by others with their default settings that they are most likely using.
