System III

have had a bit of experience setting up the System III with the DRLIP and the digital cards. What appears to be your issues?

Noticed a 10 seconds delay between end of dialing and hearing a handshake tone from the receiver, is the delay caused by the AHS lookup ? What is the best way to switch the primary server to bakup ? Do you have more than 1 IP card in the same receiver, and are they connected direct to the net or behind routers ? etc. etc.

I really appreciate if you can confirm the 10 seconds delay for me. As for the AHS lookup, that 's one of the beauties of using the System 3, is there a reason why you are not using the feature ?
