I would never give any credibility to stuff like that until they officially announce it.
Someone told me Monitronics is changing their name to Broadview International...

You already did. And you won. What you should do is drive the Brinks truck over to Jim's garage and stock up on spare parts. You're going to need 'em. :-)
I know that they are pulling out of certain markets (Oklahoma City is one that I know of for sure), but I haven't heard that they are exiting the security business all together.
